This year, the room will be decorated in green, natural, and burgundy colors. It now has a new layout, with stars in one corner. Christmas lights look beautiful here, so we will be putting up lots of lights again this year. During the Christmas season, reservations can be made in half-hour increments.

Taking advantage of the room's large size, it will now have trees in several corners, with more lights. It will be a sparklingly elegant space decorated in cream, white, and gold colors.

This year, we are once again bringing a classic Christmas to our New York venue. There will be trees on the podium and on the ground floor. In addition to the venue's completely new design, we will be introducing blue alongside red. The bar counter will also be filled with Christmas decorations.

The orange, brown, and gray colors of the room will beautifully complement the green trees. Since the room is colorful, there will be no strong colors in the decor, but it will still have a warm Christmas atmosphere.
MiniMe
Due to the characteristics of the room, it will continue to be a very child-friendly, pleasant, bright space with lots of toys. This year, forest animals will move in here.

Booking and payment conditions
We are maintaining the prepayment condition introduced last year in order to ensure a more balanced and smooth booking and photography process.
For rooms decorated for Christmas, after booking the Christmas room rental service, you pay for the reservation on the Barion platform, and it is then entered into the system. If the reservation is not made in this way, we will automatically cancel the appointment and notify you by email. In this case, you will need to start the reservation process again.
For Christmas spaces, if you cancel 168 hours before the start of the reservation, we will refund 90% of the amount. Reservations and payments also incur costs: Barion, bank fees, and the working hours that our colleagues spend on this administration. If you cancel within 48 hours, the full rental fee is payable and no refund will be made. If the cancellation is between 168 and 48 hours, 50% of the rental fee is payable.
For our rooms without Christmas decorations, the usual booking, payment, and cancellation conditions apply.
As every year, our resident card holders can book their 2024 Christmas hours in advance without prepayment. We will take your bookings before the calendar opens.

Could we get a preview picture of the decor?
One room’s decor is built by 10-12-14 people over 8-10 hours. Some elements and details get finalized during the building process. In theory the request isn’t impossible, but no client has taken on the cost of that yet. We hope by now you know us well enough to choose based on the descriptions. We hope you trust us that we’ll build something beautiful again this year. Also, depending on availability, you can switch rooms anytime.
Why are some rooms booked with a half-hour offset?
Most rooms change over on the hour. For upstairs rooms like Harvard, or those far from reception such as Skandi, this is how we can better monitor things and also serve you better.
Can I use the photos from Facebook in my own promo?
Of course you can share them, use them when promoting shoots organized with us. If you want the originals, we’ll send you a link to the web gallery where you can download them.
We like another room’s Christmas tree more. Can we move it here?
Trees are wired (for lights and safety), many have hundreds of decorations, and can be very large—some are 4.5 meters, most are taller or wider than a standard 2×1 meter door. So no, they aren’t movable.
We’d like to move the tree somewhere else in the room. Is that possible?
Even though it might seem simple, many of the tree decorations are delicate. Please do not move them.
We liked last year’s decor better. Why is this year’s different?
We’ll have six Christmas rooms this year. Our goal is that everyone has favorites, and that one room stands out more to you. If you liked them all the same, that would mean the rooms ended up too similar. We’re happy many return each year, so alongside refreshing the rooms periodically, we also rethink the decor each time.
Among the available rooms, the decor looks nicer live in another room. Can we go over there to shoot?
At the start of your photo session you can choose any of the available rooms. If possible, you can also request extra time.
Why do I have to pay for damage / broken decorations?
We try to protect decorations that are less fragile but also special. Glass decorations, however, can’t have their sparkle replaced easily. We order decorations from abroad, and the rental fee is not built to cover damage costs. In order to welcome you with beautiful decorations next year, this is unfortunately something the studio cannot easily waive. Every tree is restocked during the season so the lower parts (which may become bare) are refreshed.
Even if I know the managers, do I still need to pay?
The answer is implied in the previous question. (Yes.)
We broke something. We’ll fix it / pay for it / it was an accident. Is it a big problem?
We’re prepared for fragile items to break. If you cover the cost, it’s no problem. Every tree is replenished during the season because by season’s end lower parts might get sparse. We plan for it—all rooms have extras ordered.
Can we use sparklers?
We allowed sparklers for years, but in recent years you’ve burned sofas, fabrics etc. So we ask that you don’t bring them.
Can we scatter glitter? Is that allowed?
It’s very hard to clean up, gets stuck on clothes; for rentals following yours it causes problems. Please be considerate of people who may arrive after you with very small babies—don’t bring glitter to the studio.
Can we use fake snow?
Better than glitter in terms of cleanup, but the reception team, who already have many tasks, can’t manage cleaning when that’s added. Should you insist on this concept, your photo time will be shortened by half an hour.
Why does the count of people waiting at reception count toward the total number?
We rent, heat, clean the reception and restrooms too. If you bring many people to accompany the shoot, you’ll need to provide space for them too, and they count toward the total allowed number. During room changes the reception can’t handle a large waiting group.
If my booking is for 1 hour, why do you knock at “50 minutes past”?
In order for you to start on the hour, the previous renter must finish clearing out by 55 past. Your booked time is a gross hour, but keep in mind your net shooting time will be 50 minutes. If at 50 minutes the room still needs significant rearrangement, we’ll ask for your help; the cleanup should begin then.
Can I bring my dog / pet to the shoot?
We understand many of you consider pets as family, so you’re welcome—if it’s one or two small dogs (under 8 kg). The shoot time is still the same 50 minutes. If you arrive with 3 small dogs, or any dog over 8 kg, the clean-up and airing will require more time, so the net usable shooting time gets reduced.
If I want a few photos in multiple decors, how do I book?
Rooms can be rented by the hour. If another room is available during your session, you can shoot in it too for an extra fee of 5,000 Ft per hour. For “resident card 1.2” renters this is included in the rental fee. If you know you want several rooms, it’s best to book them back-to-back.
I want the room without Christmas decor for some hours. Can it be removed temporarily?
The first part of the answer is the same as earlier: a room’s decor is built by 10-12 people in one full day. Removal is somewhat faster, but putting it back up is just as big a job. In both studios some rooms are decoration-free zones (5 out of 11 rooms). We ask that you choose those for the 2.5 month period.
Why do I have to pay in advance for Christmas rooms?
Because in past years there were many excessive double bookings. This caused major loss not only for us, but also for staff labor imbalance when people reserved hours without filling them sensibly. With advance payment the calendar reflects real demand. It helps us serve everyone more easily and comfortably.
For cancellation outside of the cancellation deadline, why do I only get back 90%, not the full price?
Because unfulfilled bookings still incur costs: booking system fees, Barion commission, bank transaction fees, plus staff working time.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
For Christmas rooms this season, only advance payment is accepted. For other spaces the normal rules apply. We can issue an invoice for transfer if it’s paid before the rental, there are no outstanding debts from you, or if such payment has worked well between us in the past.
Why is the cancellation deadline different for Christmas rooms?
Because of overbooking issues, and many people holding spots until the last moment. Within 3 days on a weekday almost nothing can be resold.
I would like to change my appointment within the day. How much will this cost?
Same-day changes (if available) are free of charge.
We are sick, an unexpected event, the photographer and model canceled—I would just like to reschedule. Why is this a cancellation?
Because in many cases, the room can no longer be sold within the cancellation period. We have established the cancellation periods and payment rates based on our sales experience in recent years. Families with small children should choose the flexible room rental option.
If the appointment I canceled is full, why am I not getting a refund for the cancellation fee?
As we wrote, cancellation periods and rates are calculated based on an average value. It is completely random whether a Christmas date within a week will be rebooked. Just as we do not charge 100% to those whose dates ultimately remain empty, we do not refund 50% where they are booked. There are also cases where a date appears to be sold out, but in the meantime, a room change or modification takes place.
We are Covid-positive, why isn't this considered force majeure?
This is our sixth season since COVID. For a year and a half, we accepted all COVID-related cancellations. This disease, along with the flu and all other unfortunate illnesses, is now part of our lives. For quite some time now, like many other companies, we have been offering a flexible booking option. For an additional fee, you can change your booking for any reason within the cancellation period. You can read about it on our website. This option must be paid for in advance in all cases.
When will you remove the Christmas decor?

Will any rooms keep some Christmas decorations afterward?
No, everything is fully reverted.
Can we get a picture of what you’ll look like after Christmas?
In Madison, the NewYork room returns to its October look. The Sunday and Morii rooms will revert for a few weeks, and from mid-January there will be a large renovation, during which the two rooms will be opened up into one. NDustrialStudios
