Our Memphis room has been reimagined with a design that completely sets it apart from all previous NDustrialStudios spaces.
It is our: “Rage against beige”
The Memphis style is a postmodern design and architectural movement that originated in Milan in the early 1980s. It is characterized by its rejection of the rigid rules of functionalism, replacing them with vibrant colors, asymmetrical shapes, and bold geometric patterns. With its unconventional use of materials and playful approach, it radically transformed contemporary design.
While neutral colors have dominated interior studios for years, the current “dopamine decor” trend directly counters this style. By introducing a rich and vivid color palette, it evokes intense emotions, providing a perfect framework for unique concepts and fresh, character-filled imagery.
This room is a portrait studio. What kind of portrait? That is entirely up to the interpretation of the photographer and their model.
The room is north- and east-facing, receiving direct sunlight only during the morning hours. Beautifully restored vintage parquet floors give the ground a unique character. The space is heated by radiators, one of which stands as the oldest historic object in the entire room.
